Warm and woolly wishes for 2013

Here we are in 2013 already - and let's hope it's a good one!

My own personal hope for 2013 is modest - just some dry ground to give my poor sheep some respite from living in a quagmire.  As you can see from yesterday's photo, they're not overly keen to be outside in this wet and windy environment, although today is calm and I see a hint of sunshine.  I can feel the promise in the air of frozen ground to come.  Hooray!

I think I should nominate this little chap sheep of the month, for posing so beautifully in the doorway of the barn.  His name is Bouncy (he was named by 5 year olds - what can I say?) and he is a Shetland of the more primitive type - some of my favourite Shetland wool.
